The team at Forsberg are proud to support great apprentice’s past, present and future and to work alongside fantastic apprentice training providers. To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we’ve shone the spotlight on our current apprentices to celebrate how far they’ve come and the exciting journey that lays ahead for them here at Forsberg.
Ellis and Amy are both from our Accounts team but are at very different stages of their apprenticeships. Our Finance Apprentice, Ellis, is at the very beginning of his journey whilst his manager Amy, our Financial Analyst, is completing the final stages of her qualification which will assist her in achieving her current career goals.
Ellis joined Forsberg in September 2020 and is currently studying towards his AAT level 3 qualification, provided by Kaplan’s apprenticeship scheme, which he is due to complete in December 2021. Once this qualification is gained, Ellis plans to begin his CIMA qualification, with the full support and encouragement from his team and the company.
“Forsberg have been extremely supportive with my apprenticeship, there are new opportunities, training courses and responsibilities arising all the time, all of which keep me extremely motivated and bring out the best in me as an apprentice.”
“I have aspired to be an accountant for a long time and I’m finding the training interesting. I was absolutely over the moon when I secured this apprenticeship, as it is by far the best opportunity I have been offered. Being an apprentice is so different to the typical route of University, but earning while learning, and being faced with real life situations and huge responsibilities is a great way to learn and reach your goals.”
Ellis Drake – Finance Apprentice at Forsberg Services Ltd.
Our Financial Analyst Amy is currently completing the CIMA professional Qualification also through @Kaplan. She has already completed the CIMA certificate in Business Accounting whilst at Forsberg, progressing onto the CIMA Professional Qualification. With only 4 more exams to go, she is set to complete the qualification by November this year, becoming a CIMA qualified Chartered Management Accountant.
“It has been an intense journey over the last 4 years with one exam per quarter so lots of studying! However, it will all be worth it when I am CIMA qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant. Studying has been extremely beneficial to my work at Forsberg, increasing my knowledge more and more after each class, allowing me to implement new learnings to help improve the business. My Apprenticeship has really helped excel my career. Within the 4 years I have worked with Forsberg I have become a member of the SMT, a key leader of the finance team, and the manager of our new Finance Apprentice, Ellis. I can’t wait to be fully qualified and continue to develop my career at Forsberg.”
Amy Thatcher – Financial Analyst at Forsberg Services Ltd.
“The support I have received from Forsberg has been amazing, from allowing me time off to study to letting me run with all my new ideas to help solidify my learning. My Manager, Chris, is really encouraging of me and my future career plans and really promotes my development. I couldn’t ask for a better company to work for.”
We’re proud to support Amy and Ellis in gaining their qualifications and throughout their career progression and look forward to their future successes and to those of future apprentices along the way.

We are proud to give valuable support to The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, helping the Regimental Headquarters in providing welfare to serving and retired soldiers, their families and dependants.
Since its formation in 1968, the Regimental Headquarters has been responsible for providing welfare and benevolence to serving and retired soldiers and their families. The Regiment Support Service is a non-profit organisation assisting the British Army in raising funds. One way of raising money for welfare is to produce a Regimental diary for issue and sale to soldiers and civilians which is supported by voluntary sponsorships like ours. The diaries can be sold as way of raising funds and are also given free to all soldiers who are currently serving at home and abroad in the various conflicts throughout the world.
We’re honoured to be recognised as a ‘Friend of the Regiment’.
