Teleplan Globe new owner of Forsberg

We are thrilled to announce that Teleplan Globe are the new owner of Forsberg. We have sold the entire issued share capital of Forsberg Holdings Limited, the direct parent company of Forsberg Services Limited, to Teleplan Globe AS —a leading provider of software solutions for mission-critical systems based in Oslo, Norway. The formal acquiring company of Forsberg Holdings will be an English subsidiary of Teleplan Globe.

Teleplan Globe new owner of Forsberg, has been a key strategic partner for Forsberg over the past four years, and together we have achieved considerable success in developing the MANTIS software solution. Their keen interest in Forsberg is driven by the complementary nature of our capabilities, particularly in Forsberg’s engineering and expertise in Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technology.

Teleplan Globe acquires UK based Forsberg

The acquisition will enable Teleplan Globe to further expand its offering of leading software solutions to international customers in the defence, homeland security and telecom sectors.

Teleplan Globe AS, a leading provider of software solutions for mission-critical systems, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Forsberg Holdings Limited, the direct parent company of Forsberg Services Limited.

Forsberg Services Ltd is a highly respected provider of precision technologies for positioning, navigation and timing for both defence and civilian use. The company has over more than 35 years built an impressive customer base in the UK as well as internationally.

The acquisition builds on a well-established and successful cooperation between Teleplan Globe and Forsberg. This has led to significant contracts for the joint solution MANTIS optimizing the core technologies of both companies and putting the need of the end users at the forefront.

The acquisition will further strengthen Teleplan Globe’s leading capabilities within areas such as operational decision support systems, control and integration of unmanned systems in addition to mission critical solutions extracting highly accurate position data.

For Forsberg customers in the UK and in the international market, product and service offerings will broaden significantly, supported by the considerable addition to the company’s software development capacity.

Charles Forsberg, the founder and majority shareholder of Forsberg, will continue to support the company as an advisor. Chris Mayne will remain as the Managing Director and key management will remain significant minority shareholders.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
